Since the squirrels in the park weren't much of a challenge, am thinking aboiut the racoon that shoes up from time to time.... Can kind of deal with the idea of bait and a fly rod for a useful purpose so long as mamale are envolved.
Any ideas on bait?
PS - remeber to cut the hook out of the #2 woolly bugger BEFORE you cast it in front of the g/f's cat... vet bill are 'spensive and it was hard to convince the vet that the cat found the fly on it's own. G/f wasn't too impressed either.

Re: Racoons?
Mon, June 26, 2006 - 9:48 PMPiece of whole wheat bagel and some peanut butter wors well for bait, but Racooning is a bad, bad plan... It's a lil uncomfortable when you get them in close enough to net.... seems they have this personal space they want to protect and they are not surrrendering the peanut butter smeared bagel chunks.....
This experience has serious got me thinking about fly fishing for mammals....
